Ub Iwerks (1937)
Ub Iwerks dusts off the skeletons from his early-Disney days and puts them to work at Columbia…in a graveyard replete with eerie owls and surrealistic bats. Skeletons begin to rise from their graves and form a loosely-jointed band.

That sounds fun
Used to curate a cartoon collection. Somewhere on a VHS tape I have a Newman’s Laugh-o-Gram animated by Disney 🙂
Totally true. You know your shit:)
He really did. Disney was a dreadful animator but a masterful storyteller; Iwerks almost exactly the opposite.
Hahaha. I know what you mean. It was like he needed Disney.
Poor Ub. He was a great innovator and a heck of an animator, but he couldn’t write a gag to save his life 🙁
