DePatie-Freleng Enterprises wins the Academy Award for Best Short Film 
for The PinkPhink (of the Pink Panther series) and continues to 
create shorts for theatrical release.

The Pink Phink is a 1964 animated short comedy film, produced and directed by Friz Freleng with characters animated by the triple male character animators, Don Williams, Bob Matz and Norman McCabe and the solo female character animator, Laverne Harding. It is the first animated short starring the Pink Panther.

  1. I remember seeing this one in syndication. Such memories. The Pink Panther is like The Roadrunner and Bugs Bunny, isn’t he? The smart character who always wins in the end.

  2. Absolutely love The Pink Panther. I have all of them and my son grew up on them. I love silent movies and these are close…no dialog and just enough action.
